About me

I’m a geology and math double major at Bryn Mawr. I love music, science, dance, math, words, and visual arts and have a growing obsession with the sea. I grew up in rural, southern Illinois, near St. Louis, Missouri. Among my collection of books, fairy tales (and retellings thereof) and field guides dominate, followed by books on language, writing, and words (including an enormous dictionary), books of poetry, books about ships, and books about Joan of Arc, in that order. Currently my favorite word is anachronistic–roughly, an adjective for something out of its correct time, especially something antiquated.
